Wee Snapper Box

This fun wee fish shaped box is part of the Fish From a dish range, where silver from an antique silver salver has been incorporated in the making of a contemporary box.

The tail of the fish incorporates the fluted edges of an antique silver slaver. The subtle original engraving of the salver shows through the detailed chasing of the fish scales, as though a memory of the past. The box has a sprung hinge, so then opened, revealing a deep black oxidised inside, the lid snaps shut of its own accord, giving the name to the box and making it the perfect place to hide a secret treasure.
