Hoopoe Salt and Pepper set
Made to adorn any dining table this Hoopoe Salt and Pepper set is functional and fun.
Chased silver with gilt & African Blackwood.
The pair of three-dimensional Hoopoe Birds, perched at either end of the sleek wooden base, can be moved back and forth as the salt is passed around the table. Feather details are embossed using the technique of Chasing and Repousse, where the sheet silver is tap-taped with hammer and steel punches for hours, whilst embedded in a bowl of pine pitch.
The half-round dishes are gold platted inside to prevent oxidisation and can be removed for easy cleaning. They work well with salt and pepper or any condiment you choose.
