Make an Arts and Crafts Copper Clock

£655.00

Bespoke 5-day course

10-4 pm each day

Beginners - Advanced

Silversmith Bryony Knox will show you how to design and make your own Arts & Crafts inspired copper clock. This is an ideal introduction to various metalwork techniques whilst making your own beautiful object to love and treasure.

Bryony will explain the way to design and make a free-standing clock using techniques popular amongst Arts & Crafts such as riveting, piercing and the ancient art of Chasing & Repoussé -- where sheet metal is formed and embossed using small steel tools, whilst held in pine pitch.

During the week, a slightly smaller version of the Acorn Clock, which Bryony made on BBC2's The Victorian House of Arts and Crafts will be made.

Templates will be provided with room to personalise your design. The price includes copper, use of tools and a quartz clock mechanism.

The class will be no larger than 4 people and held in Bryony's own colourful and eclectic workshop at Coburg House Studios in Leith, Edinburgh.
