This large silver sculptural Pelican not only commands it's own presence but contains a secret.
Open the birds beak by pressing down on his head feathers to reveal a tiny articulated fish. This fish can be removed and worn with the enclosed chain as a pendant.
The wings feathers are made using the ancient technique of Chasing & Repousse~ where sheet metal is embossed using pine pitch, hammer and small steel punches.
The silver bird can be removed for easy cleaning and should be replaced so that neck aligns with etched arrows on glass rim.
