Each smiling fish is embossed using the technique of Chasing and Repoussé, where the sheet silver is tap-taped with hammer and steel punches for hours, whilst embedded in a bowl of pine pitch.
The gold detail is 22 ct gold sheet, fused with the silver using the Korean technique of Keum- boo
