






































NEW: Mackintosh inspired Embossed Copper Workshop at 'Mackintosh at the Willow' in Glasgow
The famous ‘Mackintosh at the Willow ' in Glasgow are hosting this creative Copper day class with Silversmith Bryony Knox.
Inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, The Glasgow Style and the Arts & Crafts Movement, design and make an embossed copper shim box in this 5-hour workshop.
Learn to fashion and form sheet copper using embossing techniques employed by the Macdonald Sisters whilst sitting in the historic Mrs Cranston’s Mackintosh at the Willow, home of the original Willow Tea Rooms building on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
The day will include a tour of the famous Tea rooms, delicious Afternoon Tea with Scone, Tea or Coffee and all tuition, materials and designs. You do not have to bring anything with you.

You will also make a name badge and embossed Copper tile, to fit inside your box.
An ideal way for beginners to explore the malleability of this colourful metal, whilst making a unique box for keepsakes.
No previous metalwork knowledge required. Tools used- Scissors and forming/ embossing tools.
Saturday 10.30 -4 pm £80 per person
10.30 - 11.15 - Tour of the Stunning Mrs Cranston’s Tea rooms with elegant Mackintosh Interiors. Time for sketching for inspiration.
11.15 - 13.15 - Introduction to Embossing Copper . Make a Name badge and Copper ‘Tile’ inspired by designs seen throughout the tea rooms. Bryony will also provide templates for designs.
13.15 - 14.00 - Break in the Tea Rooms for Tea/ Coffee and delicious Scone ( included in day price)
14.00 - 16.00 - Make an Embossed Copper Box
You will leave with the items you have made and knowledge of how to continue these skills at home.
All materials and templates are included in the price
The class will be no larger than 8-10 people and held at Mackintosh at the Willow (the Original Willow Tearooms Building) at 215–217 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow, G2 3EX.
