Kings and Queens

 

Research into antique playing cards, particularly 18th century Burgundian, contributed to Bryony's designs of these Kings with their elaborate moustaches, and suspicious Queens. Brightly enamelled red hearts or gilded details pick out different suits.

The objects are designed to be used, maybe whilst playing cards... hence the whisky tumblers and bridge card boxes. This range also explores the combination of antique objects and contemporary chased silver to create functional silverware which will spark a conversation.

A figurative Jousting Jack toast rack brandishing butter knives doubles as a centrepiece.
